What is virtual staging?

Virtual staging is the process of adding 3D furniture and decor into existing interior photos of real estate. Special software is used to recreate a room based on its photo including windows, doors, walls, and floors. Then 3D furniture models are added. Together with realistic textures and lighting it’s called “a scene”, which is rendered with the help of software and then tweaked out in the graphic editor. This process is really complicated and takes much diligence, understanding of perspective and space, and a sense of aesthetic.
Virtual staging is especially popular among real estate brokers, photographers, and interior designers as it’s a profitable and useful alternative to home staging. As these images look realistic (at least made by our company), the phrase “Virtually Staged” must be stated on the image.

What software is used for virtual staging?

We use 3DsMax and Corona Render as virtual staging software. We believe these are the best tools to achieve high-quality realism in the images.

Can I do virtual staging myself?

There are some DIY virtual staging software and websites. However, we do not recommend using them for any purposes except as a hobby — it’s not professional, and results mostly look worse than initial images. If you consider becoming a professional, prepare to take a course and practice for months before achieving impressive and realistic images.

What do I need to have my property virtually staged?

It's best if we receive from you:Professional high-resolution photos of your property (at least 3600x2400 px or 300dpi)Ceiling heightFloor plan, if availableThe more details we have, the easier it will be to turn your design ideas into reality.Don't worry if you don't have photos of your property or if it's unbuilt yet; we can create 3D renderings for your concept based solely on the floor plan and dimensions.

Can you remove old furniture from photos or make edits to existing furniture pieces?

If there is existing furniture in the room, we can replace it with virtual furniture and decor. However, we are not able to modify current furniture pieces but only replace them with new ones.

What is your turnaround time?

The turnaround time for creating a virtual staging image is 12-24 hours once we start working on a project. Several images may be done simultaneously. However, it also depends on our current workload, and how quick your feedback is. Generally, it takes 1-3 business days to complete an average 3-5 images project.

I'm on a strict deadline, so I need images done yesterday. Can you help?

In such a situation, we recommend the Basic plan with a super-fast 12h turnaround time. However, it's always better to have some time buffer and room for changes.

How can I track the turnaround of my order?

The drafts/final images are delivered within the next 12-48 hours (the timeline depends on your pricing plan). You will receive an email or SMS notification to view them in your personal account when your images are ready. You can check the status of each photo in your project and view drafts directly from your account.

What size and format of photos should I send?

For optimal results, professional high-resolution photos will work best, as they ensure greater clarity, detail, and overall visual impact, which can significantly enhance the quality and effectiveness of the final presentation or project.

By high-quality photos we mean:
- Well-lit, best taken during the golden hour
- High-quality, without pixels and blurring (at least 2,000 pixels wide)
- Capture as much of the room as possible
- Taken from the right perspective and show the room's focal point.
For optimal results, professional high-resolution photos will work best, as they ensure greater clarity, detail, and overall visual impact, which can significantly enhance the quality and effectiveness of the final presentation or project.

Photos that won't be applicable:
- Blurry or pixelated
- Dark or overexposed
- Don't show much of the space
- Captured from the wrong angle.

What is a Combined/large room?

We consider a photo large if the room combines more than 2 sitting areas (e.g. living + dining + kitchen). In other words, if there is much furniture to be added, it is considered a combined/large room.

What is Redesign?

We can change the whole style of your space by replacing unappealing furniture and accessories with new virtual ones. This option is a great way to see beyond the current decor and refresh the dated look. It's available in Advanced and Premium plans.

What is Renovation?

With the virtual renovation we can digitally update the finishes, wall paint, appliances, cabinet facades, countertops or embody any other architectural adjustments.

What if I’m not really into design? Is Tantify right for me?

Tantify is super easy to use! All you have to do is upload your photos and drop us a hint on what you like — the rest is on us! Regardless of your attitude towards design, you can always rely on our vast experience in it.

What if I don't like the results or the design doesn't fit?

Collecting all the information regarding your preferences, our ordering process allows us to avoid misunderstandings as much as possible. All plans except Basic include free revisions, and there is also the possibility of additional paid ones. We guarantee a 30-day money-back.

What if virtual staging looks fake?

Our CGI artists are professionals who understand the importance of realism, scale, perspective, detail, and light. Renders that appear fake, floating, or not aligning with the image’s natural room perspective are often made by amateurs or companies that attract their clients with cheap prices.

What determines your pricing?

Our team has been conducting high-end virtual interior design projects not only for the New York Real Estate market but also for properties all across the USA for more than 5 years already. We constantly make sure that our CGI artists face our high-quality standards, keep up-to-date with the latest trends, and are familiar with the basic style guides relative to the location of the listing. Thus, you won’t need to waste your time talking about the nuts and bolts of the proper virtual staging.

How can I pick reference images for the style I’d like to stick to?

Once you choose the style you'd like for your property, we'll provide you with a catalog of reference images. You can select up to 3 images for each photo. Feel free to leave comments on what you like or dislike! If nothing from our collection catches your eye, you have the option to upload your own inspirational images later during the ordering process. Additionally, you can choose furniture and decorations from our collection.

What is the main difference between pricing plans?

The main difference lies in extra features and the number of revisions available in the plan. For instance:
▪ Premium: This plan offers digital renovation, redesign/furniture replacement, and up to 4 rounds of revisions from your first draft;
▪ Advanced: Includes 4 rounds of revisions plus redesign/furniture replacement;
▪Pro: Features staging for combined rooms with a limit of 4 revisions;
▪ Basic: Provides staged and finalized photos directly to your account, without the option for revisions or additional features.

What payment methods are available?

You can use any of the common payment methods, such as a credit card or PayPal. Payments on the Tantify platform are processed via Paddle — a safe and secure payment system. Moreover, you can use your marketing budget if your company has us on the approved vendor list.

What do you do with my personal information

We know security and privacy are important to you — and they are important to us, too. We never sell or share any of your personal data, making it a priority to protect your privacy and keep it secure.

My property is under construction - can you create a design concept for it now, or should I wait till construction ends?

We create visual design concepts to showcase the full potential of apartment reconfiguration or unbuilt property. 3D renderings can be made at any stage and require only floor plans and dimensions to proceed. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us for more details. All consultations are free!

How does 3D Rendering/3D Visualization differ from Virtual staging?

Virtual staging is a combination of photography and 3D model (50% real / 50% 3D graphics), whereas 3D Visualization is a two-dimensional representation of a computer wireframe model that has been given properties such as texture, color, and material (100% 3D graphics).
The differences you may notice as a customer:
▪ Timeline — visualization takes more time to create
▪ Pricing — the process takes more man-hours
